Harold Edward Smith

Harold Edward "Big Ed" Smith Jr, age 69, of Ladoga passed away on September 18, 2021 at The Waters of Greencastle. He was born on September 18, 1952 to the late Harold Edward and Margaret (Perry) Smith.

Big Ed grew up in Fountain County. He worked in construction for many years. He always wanted his family together. He was proud of his children's accomplishments. He loved his little dogs, Brodie, Bodacious and Cooper. He enjoyed listening to classic rock and being outdoors. Harold did not know a stranger and was easy to talk to.

He is survived by his wife, PJ Owen; two sons, Harold and Isaac Smith; five daughters, Richelle Harkrider, Michelle Harvey, Shannon Lopez, Jessica Diaz, and Tiffany Smith; three brothers, Tony Smith, Marty Smith, and Mark Stepp; a sister, Joyce Stewart; twenty-three grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenny Smith; two sisters, Tonya Smith and Sonya Smith.
