Jimmie Ray Pitts, age 74, of Kingman passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at The Waters of Covington. Jimmie was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 6, 1947 to the late Raymond Lee and Gracie Ione (Shipp) Pitts.

Jimmie graduated high school and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served in the 5th Battalion in the 32nd artillery at Fort Riley in Kansas. During his time in the army, he received a Sharp Shooter Rifle Award, as well as, a Code of Conduct Award. Jimmie was an avid survivalist, fisherman, bow hunter, Horticulturalist, and history buff. Most of all Jimmie loved spending time with his family, teaching them many things, especially gardening.

Jimmie is survived by a daughter, Angela Rae (Pitts) Whitehead; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Rinker, Dustin Rinker Jr, Donovan Whitehead; two brothers, Derryl and Gary Pitts; four nieces Tracey (Chris) Busch, Michelle Clem, Debbie (Greg) Flick, and Stephanie (James) Guffey; and great nieces and nephews, Tyler Flick, Matthew Clem, Ashley Busch, Austin Busch, Kayla Guffey, Julia Guffey, Nathan Guffey, Summer Guffey, and Trey Lawhorn.

Jimmie came from a large family. He was loved not only by them but many others. His family appreciates the time they got to spend together.
