Kevin Mark Johnson, age 57 of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at home. He was born on July 26, 1964 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Orvan Virgil Johnson Jr. & Kathryn Madys (Curts) Johnson-Shields.
Kevin attended Benton Central High School and graduated with an associates degree from Lincoln Tech. He married the love of his life, Greta Tygum, on November 7, 2005. He mowed many of the Montgomery County Cemetery's with Adam Hampton and helped Mark McClamroch on the farm. He enjoyed fixing cars, playing with tractors, was very mechanical, always busy, loved wood working, had a big and kind heart, was always helping people, and loved talking on the phone.
He is survived by his wife, Greta; five children, Kenny (Ashley) Vermillion, Michael Vermillion, Sandy Carnahan, Alicia Mister, and Sarah (Paul) Goodrich; a brother, Keith (Kim) Johnson; three sisters, Barbara (John) Fielding, Janet (Mike) Fields, and Diane (Keith) Gretencord; brother-in-law, Olin Tygum; sister-in-law, Emily Tygum; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; and a granddaughter, Candace.
Cremation was chosen with a visitation at Sanders Shoemaker Funeral Care, 202 Bratton Road, in Waynetown on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1:00pm till the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 4:00pm with Celebrant Gabriella Chapin officiating.
