Leroy Dale York

Leroy Dale York, age 73, of Veedersburg and formerly of Kingman, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at his home. He was born in Clinton, Indiana on April 24, 1949 to the late Kenneth York and Faye Aileen (Strow) DeAth.

Leroy attended Fountain Central High School. He married Rosemary Eloise Kolaiser on December 30, 1972. For over 40 years, he worked at Duke Energy in the Janitorial Department. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, mushroom hunting, playing pool, and visiting with old friends. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion for over 40 years.

Leroy is survived by his wife; Stepchildren, Jenene Stricklin, James Gossett, and Jeffrey Gosset; a brother, Leland York; sister-in-law, Kathy York; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; an aunt; sister-in-law, Delores Hancock; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Elizabeth York; a brother, Leon York; a son-in-law, Loran Stricklin Jr; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Meihls.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S. 1st Street in Kingman on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 1:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
