Margaret (Swank) Kidd

Margaret (Swank) Kidd, age 91, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Whitlock Place in Crawfordsville. Margaret was born in Montgomery County on May 5, 1929 to Benjamin Franklin & Velma (Layne) Swank.

Margaret graduated from New Market High School and worked at General Telephone Company and R. R. Donnelly as a proofreader. She loved collecting antique glassware, pottery, and giraffe figurines. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her nieces: Beverly Bashia, Janis (Jim) Peacock, and Pamela Blanchard and nephews: Steve, Stanley and Doug Swank and many great nieces and nephews.

Margaret is also survived by her two best and loyal friends, Barbara Lidester and Sandi (Gary) Anderson. They talked to her every day and visited her often. No one had two more special friends!

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen; brothers, Chester, Byron, and Donald Swank and her infant daughter, Sue Lynn.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St, in Crawfordsville on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm with a graveside service at Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery at 2:30pm with Pastor Terry Thompson officiating.
