Obituary

Penny Jean (Carter) Sanders, age 61 of Kingman, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. She was born in Clinton, Indiana on July 25, 1960 to the late Jack & Linda (Wigley) Carter.

Penny graduated from Fountain Central High School and was a loving mother, friend, and homemaker. She enjoyed working with her flowers and in the garden and traveled with Donnie in the semi. She loved watching scary movies and spending time with her grandkids.

On October 25, 1995 she married the love of her life, Donny Sanders, who survives. She is also survived by her three sons, Brad Zeigler, Alan Zeigler, and Scott Zeigler; nine grandchildren, Tlitha, John, Hannah, Sophie, Brody, Makayla, Gracie, Jordon, and Blain; one great granddaughter, Aria; two brothers, Mike Carter and Bruce (Lori) Carter; two sisters, Kris (Tim) Smalley and Cindy (Tracey) Dennis; and a special friend Dan Perry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Dean Carter; and a granddaughter, Brianna.
