Rockville

Thomas Alan Delano, age 70 of Rockville and formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville, IN. He was born in Crawfordsville on November 8, 1950 to the late Albert S. & Beverly Jean (Cope) Delano.

Tom graduated from New Market High School and proudly served his country in the National Guard. Throughout the years he worked in IT at IBM and Rolls Royce and farmed in Montgomery County. He was a huge IU fan, enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing with his dogs (Hans and Smokie), and taking his grandchildren on adventures in the country.

He is survived by his son, Troy (Theresa) Delano; two grandchildren, Lou and Lucy, who lovingly referred to him as Grampy; two brothers, Steve (Deborah) Delano and Tad (Vickie) Delano; a sister, Jeanise (Paul McMahon) Delano; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St, in Crawfordsville on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. There will be a graveside service on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00am at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery outside New Market. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or you may donate online by clicking on the Donation Tab at the top of the obituary.  Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
