William "Bill" Matthew Case Sr., age 90 of Kingman, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at The Waters of Covington. He was born in Lubec, Maine on April 11, 1931 to the late Otis Wright & Marion (Ryerson) Case.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952-1977, serving his country for 25 years, and served during the Korean War. He enjoyed going to flea markets, going out to eat, and traveling. He often traveled to Maryland, South Carolina, Delaware, and Maine. He had a special knack for sending birthday and holiday cards with $2.00 bills to everyone; all the nieces, nephews, and grandkids. And to this day everyone that knew Bill, has a $2.00 bill from him somewhere in their home.
His family was quite large and he was preceded in death by his parents; a son William Matthew Case Jr; seven brothers, Sylvester Martin Case, Calvin Case, Joe Case, Clifford Ryerson Case, Alfred Case, Bernard Case, and Reginald Case; two sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Spencer and Marion "Susie" Case-Logan; and his first wife, Margaret Ellen Case.
He is survived by his significant other, Georgeanna Schumaker of Kingman; son, Christopher Case of Delaware; step-son, Joe Carter; two daughters, Vicki Herring of New York and Jeannie Chilcoate of Delaware; step-daughter's Janice Pritchard and Janetta Carter; a sister, Margaret Monaco of Maine; six grandchildren, Thomas Jason Case, Brian Kenny, Alicia Kenny-Chilcoate, Ashley Stonebraker, Lilly Carter, and Alan Pritchard; five great -grandchildren, Alex Kenny, Cheyanne Chilcoate, Alaina Chilcoate, Dallas Matthew Stonebraker, and Tanner Dale Stonebraker; and several nieces and nephews.
